Yep, I'm still alive

Hi Friends!

It's been a while but I'm still around and crafting.  This semester, I have been working my normal day job as a special ed teacher, but also teaching psychology at a junior college.  I haven't had much time to craft and pretty much no time to blog.  But, that is changing!  I'm super excited to be finishing up my last semester teaching college and going back to just one job and my crafting and selling Close To My Heart!

Here are a few cards I created for Boss's Day in October.

This first one is using papers and embellishments from the Tommy Paper Pack (X7169B).  The stamp is from a retired stamp set.  This card was created for one of the assistant principals.

This card is was created for a boss who is also a friend.  She loves the color grey, so this worked out perfectly!  The background paper is from a special set Close To My Heart had about a year ago called Dotty For You.  I love that paper pack!  The flourish is our Sparkles Black Flourish (Z1745) and the flower in the center of the black paper flower is from our new Base & Bling collection!  Base & Bling Floral Accents (Z1883)

This card also has a background using the Dotty For You paper pack. The stamped sentiment and little hedgehog stamp are both retired Close To My Heart stamps.  The black tulle is also retired.

This last card is a side step card I created for our head principal.  The 'sun' is a piece from our Dimensional Elements Awards (Z1792) that I inked in Honey (Z2162).  The sentiments, kids, and school house were all stamps that are retired from Close To My Heart, but I can't bear to get rid of them.  I colored the school house with our Watercolor Pencils (3505) and used the Blending Pen (3174).  The ground is inked in Pear (Z2197) and the sky is inked in Sky (Z2194).

Close up of the school house and our department.

Thank you for taking a moment to check out my cards and blog.  Leave a comment!
